information tables-

Information Tables are a simple and easy way to get the message out. Information tables require relatively little planning and allow activists to engage the public in meaningful, one-on-one dialogues. Pick a popular location and busy time of day, get a permit (if necessary), then show up for a few hours with a large table, display materials and handouts.
Common locations include college campuses, concerts/shows, health food stores, public spaces and parks, and other highly trafficked areas. Consider adding a feed-in, video, or cage-in to compliment your information table. Videos and cage-ins provide visitors with an unforgettable reality check about the suffering that animals face, while feed-ins demonstrate how delicious vegan food is.
Make sure to request/download FREE tabling materials from FARM Underground! You can also download sign-up sheets, signs, black and white flyers and “zines” to print and photo copy. There are many ways to get cheap and free copies- you just have to be creative and resourceful.

Pointers for tabling:
• Tables should be neat, not cluttered—sign-up sheets in front, higher stacks of lit behind shorter stacks, TV/laptop behind the literature, etc.
• Have a TV/VCR combo or a laptop? We can send you a looped video of “Meet Your Meat.”
• Set up in a high-traffic area.
Lastly, have fun! This is important. Talk with people- if they are vegan or on the path towards veganism, help them get active for animal liberation. If they are merely curious, give them information about farmed animals and the steps we can all do to help them, starting with going vegan. The movement is growing and it starts with you and your community.
Remember to always be polite and informative!
