The biggest problems confronting society and the rest of our planet are disease, hunger, suffering, environmental devastation, and early death. Yet, these issues are not discussed in our nation's schools or universities, and they are barely touched upon by national decision-makers. Nutrition education has been largely relinquished to the meat and dairy industries that create these problems, and we are left to consume their harmful products. Making the switch to veganism is imperative. From there, it is essential that we stay on top of new information, incorporate it into projects in class or at our jobs, and get active! Keep in mind that there is no such thing as “humane” dairy, eggs or meat. These are deceptive marketing labels that are crafted by industries and corporations.
